Helpful Health and Safety Tips from Your Central Pennsylvania Dentists
When we call to schedule your visit to Union Dental Health, please note that we may ask you some health screening questions. You might also get asked this same set of questions when you arrive at the office for your checkup. These questions help us check on your current health status and exposure to anyone who has tested positive to the virus and travels to certain areas. We appreciate you taking the time to answer these questions and help keep everyone informed and safe.
Our Lewisburg dental office has long followed the stringent guidelines and recommendations set forth by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). By staying up-to-date with these agencies, we remain on top of any new guidelines they decide to implement.
There might be some changes during your next appointment that are in place to protect you, your family, and our staff:
#1) Hand sanitizer will be provided to you when you come to your appointment. It should be available at the front desk and other designated areas.
#2) Appointments will be arranged and managed to allow for social distancing between patient appointments. We will do our best to allow for some extra time between patients to allow for further disinfection and sterilization of the office.
#3) You’ll find that we’ve removed all unnecessary items from both our operatory and reception rooms. All surfaces of our Lewisburg dental office are cleaned with high-grade disinfectant after every patient appointment is complete. Every instrument that is not disposable is thoroughly cleaned with our high-powered ultrasonic cleaner and our autoclave.
#4) Our team members will also be wearing the proper protective equipment and face shields or masks. We ask that you please wear a mask to your appointment and that anyone accompanying you remains in your car during your treatment.
